Our Family:
My name is Katrina, Kat, for short. I was born and raised in Sullivan County. I met my husband Alan, in 1996. He was also born and raised in Sullivan County. We were married in October of 1997 and we have 7 beautiful children; Brianna, Jordan, Michael, Tristan, Lucas, Jacob and Oliver. We are also certified foster parents and occasionally provide a safe and loving home for children in need. Alan is a cleaner at SWCS where he has been employed since 2001. Our daughter, Brianna lives in Texas and has her own digital design business, Fox & Fern. Jordan is a DSP at the Center for Discovery. Michael has been my assistant in the daycare since 2019. Alan, Jordan and Michael are all certified daycare assistants and help out in the daycare whenever their schedules allow. Tristan, Lucas, Jacob and Oliver are all students at SWCS.

Our Facility:
My Little Stars has been providing quality child care since 1999. We are a locally owned and operated family daycare. We are licensed and regulated by New York State with the ability to provide child care for up to 16 children. The daycare is located in our private home, on a quiet dead end road in Youngsville, NY. Our home sits on a little less than an acre with a gated backyard and large decks. Our fun and whimsical playground is shaded by a beautiful maple tree. We have a large living area with an abundance of toys, craft supplies, and activities for children of all ages.
Our Animals:
We are animal lovers! The furry, the fuzzy, and even the scaly kind! Over the years we have had many different pets and animal experiences. If I hadn’t gotten into the child care field, I may have gone into a career with animals! Currently, we have dogs and cats and a bearded dragon.
We have 2 Golden Retrievers; Dixie and Dakota. They are friendly and love kids but they do have their own separate kennel where they sleep and play during daycare hours. We also have 2 Pomeranians, and plan to breed them; Rumbles (Rummy) and Kalista (Kali). The poms are underfoot sand rule the house. They are babies at just over a year old and still learning.
We have a few very friendly indoor/outdoor cats who typically do as they please. Oscar, Cheddar, Smudge, & Klaus. Our cats are exceptionally friendly and love a head scratch!
Yes, Dragons do exist! Our Bearded Dragon, Kaida, is a unique and friendly dragon who hangs out in her terrarium in our living room. The kids love to watch her antics! She’s strictly a look, don’t touch pet.
Over yonder, we have a mini farm with chickens, geese, and sometimes turkeys. We sell our chicken eggs at $5/dozen.
