  Hello...

Finding a day care provider that you can trust and feel comfortable leaving your children with is a very difficult task. Trusting complete strangers is even harder. It is my hope that this helps you to get to know us just a little better, before leaving your child in our care.

We strive to provide quality child care and to provide a friendly, open atmosphere. Communication between parents and provider is key to a successful relationship that will ultimately benefit your children.

This is Us...

Hi! My name is Katrina and I'd like to tell you a little about our family and our business. I was born and raised in Western Sullivan County. I am an alumna of JYCS, Class of 1993. My husband, Alan, was also born and raised in Sullivan County. He is an alumnus of MCS, Class of 1994. We were married in October of 1997.

We started the day care shortly after the birth of our oldest son in 1999. I wanted to be home with my children, but we needed to have a second income coming in to support our growing family. A family day care was the perfect solution! I wanted the environment to be as close to home as possible and yet offer a stimulating environment for the kids to learn and play and to make lasting friendships. I am proud to say that we have been successful.

Our daycare has a wonderful reputation and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. In September of 2006, we expanded from a Family Day Care to a Group Family Day Care, doubling the capacity of enrollment to 16! Often, we have a waiting list to get in!

Alan is a cleaner at the Sullivan West Central School. He has been employed with the school since October of 2001. His normal work hours are from 3 - 11 during the school year and 6:30 - 4:30 during the summer. When he’s not working at the school, he’s working for me. He is approved by NYS to work as my primary assistant. He can and will perform all tasks associated with taking care of the children enrolled in our daycare. It is not uncommon to see him making lunch, changing a diaper, or playing with the kids here.

Together, we have 7 of our own beautiful children. Brianna is our oldest and only daughter. Then we have 6 boys: Jordan, Michael, Tristan, Lucas, Jacob and Oliver. As our children have grown and entered adulthood they have learned all the mechanics of running a daycare, from changing diapers to knowing the NYS Regulations. They have lived it and we could not have trained anyone better, What started as a second income 20 years ago, has turned into a Family Owned and Operated Business. It is not uncommon to see any member of our family helping out with any task.

Our Pets...

Of course we have pets! We have been known to have all sorts of fun and interesting pets. Over the years we have had water dragons, rabbits, sugar gliders, chinchillas, chickens, goats... we love animals and we believe in giving children the most experiences that we possibly can! Caring for pets can have such a profound impact on children! We currently have 3 dogs - 1 Pomeranian: Zoey and 2 Golden Retrievers: Duncan and Dixie. We also have 3 cats: Icarus, Jinx and Oscar. Our dogs and cats are all kid friendly and family raised. They are all current with their vaccinations and are free from disease. Our pets are a part of our family and we teach the children how to be gentle and kind to them. We do breed our Golden Retrievers and occasionally, we have puppies running around!
